journey

colours have a lot to say, and they really say much. so does, the colour black. its not just black, its different shades of black. no, JUST BLACK! yeah definitely i am talking about the wonders of charcoal. a very fine composition has been drafted here by the artist where comparatively dull background is helping the main picture to emboss. though, the background is not just filling up of the empty space but it is contributing alot to the composition. the buildings and smoke and windows and towers suggest that the two figures in the main picture are heading towards the city. and we know they are 'heading toward' because of the vehicle they are on., bare foot,  is suggestive 0f typical village,  and the toy like figure is depicting innocence. the masks hiding there faces talk about the very essence of city life. "never showing your true face". the two figures are well prepared and equipped and we know that through the arrow case on the back of  second figure. a little composition is talking so much about the city, the city life, Survival strategies and in fact much more. a very neat piece of art, carefully laid, and very thoughtfully made. it would definitely look extremely good on the walls of the galleries but i wont actually mind seeing this in one of my text books! it is teaching!! looks so like a "true incident".. happening with hundreds almost every day..!!
